Michigan Notary Association brings you: Deed Fraud Alerts. Sign up for alerts from your county if your property’s deed information changes. We have very limited fraud prevention methods in place – one bad actor can land you in legal squabbles for years. Learning about deed actions quickly can help reduce the hassle and time spent regaining ownership of your property. Living outside Michigan? Check your state’s or county’s website to see if deed alerts are available, and if not: ask why.
Lots has been happening behind the scenes at On My Way Michigan the last couple weeks (Hmm, make that months). Somehow I’m supposed to be balancing “make sure all your keywords come up organically a bunch of times per page but don’t make the page too long but add valuable information regularly and be a resource/expert/educator in your field…” WHEW! To that end, the On My Way Michigan website has had a SERIOUS overhaul.
I’ve been learning about SEO marketing and digging deep into the cavernous recesses of places no one should ever have to see on a website. I guess this is the fate of being a DIY Solopreneur!
I also took a couple marketing classes that turned my whole social media marketing strategy on its head. In short: more informative & shareable, less “buy me.”
The online bookings page is now sorted and you can click a topic to go to that section. Also, each topic page has the booking links embedded directly on the page, for your convenience.

Kids come with so many forms! Here’s one more: the DSA-3053 allows one parent to consent for the other parent to apply for a minor’s passport, without both parents needing to be present. It needs to be notarized, and the form is a really tight squeeze. Make sure you have a Michigan Notary Association-trained notary who stays up to date on the latest forms, and practices these things.
